QUEBEC GOVERNMENT CYNICALLY STIRS UP TROUBLE

“There are no known complaints against any identifiably religious public servants whose faith has influenced his or her work.” —Toronto Star, September 11, 2013

The Quebec government’s proposed ban on religious symbols at work is a reactionary campaign of social mischief designed to confuse people about the nature of freedom, give the bourgeois state yet another tool with which to oppress people, and which flies in the face of all logic regarding separation of church and state.

In the name of a dunder-headed version of politically-correct secularism, the measures will succeed only in alienating religious people who should have every right to wear the clothing and symbols of their choosing. The whole campaign is a cynicism-driven piece of mischief to make nonsense of the struggle for “good” government and human rights in the public realm.
